Festivities are one of Quart de Poblet’s main attractions. A highlight is "Passejà de Sant Onofre", which has been listed an Event of Provincial Tourist Interest and takes place on the night of the 9 June. Thousands of rockets and fireworks will blow you away in an unforgettable procession.
During your time spent visiting the town and its surroundings, you won’t want to miss the various heritage sites connected to hydraulics. Like the "Llengües de Sant Onofre" or “tongues of San Onofre", for instance, the partition that separated the irrigation waters, and the low pressure water tank. Built in the 14th century, San Onofre chapel is a Site of Local Relevance and well worth a visit.
Quart de Poblet will also take you on an exploration of the beautiful bridges and one of the biggest irrigation canals in the area - that of Mislata - which continues to irrigate fields and agricultural land. A section of the canal is original and has been listed a Site of Cultural Interest. You can take a lovely walk by the water and the river Turia, exploring buildings like the Molí de la Vila, which is now an auditorium where you can see great shows.
El Túria Natural Park is another must-visit in Quart de Poblet. Here you can spend your time bird watching and keeping your eye out for other animals in the beautiful outdoors.
Make sure you visit El Casino Cultural Centre, which was built in the 20th century under the petition of local families, and where you can enjoy the lovely terrace and café. You’ll also want to take a look at the beautiful Art Nouveau houses and the old railway station. Come and explore a lovely irrigated landscape and get lost among the water canals, mills and cisterns.
