Sagunto is home to a beach whose sand, pebbles and dunes are a pleasure to spend time at. Don’t miss L'Almardá beach.

L'Almardá beach in Sagunto has a beautiful dune cordon that separates the beach from the residential area. Extending at a width of 100m for 1,650m along the coastline, the semi-urban beach has both sand and pebbles. All sorts of plants and wildlife call the area home, creating an environmental area that we are all responsible for taking care of.

The beach has plenty of services. There are lifeguards (from the 15 June to the 15 September), a children’s playground, parasol and lounger hire and a carpark. Not to mention the chiringuito, the beach bar, where you can order something refreshing to drink and get in the party mood. There are also a number of restaurants in the area.

L'Almardá beach is accessible to people with disabilities, meaning that everyone can enjoy the beautiful surroundings. This stretch of the coastline is well looked after and even has the Q for Quality, awarded by Generalitat Valenciana. Camping is not permitted.

If you’re driving to the beach, you can follow the N-340 or the AP-7, though it’s much easier to walk from Sagunto or get the bus. The nearest port is Puerto Siles in Canet d'en Berenguer. The beaches to the south belong to the latter destination and are also well worth spending time at.

If you’re in Sagunto to enjoy the beaches, we’d also recommend exploring Sagunto castle, a great fortress and heritage site that will leave you lost for words.
