What to see in Xirivella
Along the streets of Xirivella, you’ll come across numerous ceramic tiles on the walls which date back to the 18th and 19th century. These traditional plaques are religious artworks that relay scenes from the bible, especially the Stations of the Cross which depict scenes of Easter Holy Week.
Nuestra Señora de la Salud Parish Church, built in the 17th century, is Xirivella’s most significant landmark and a must-see on your visit. Add the charming Nuestra Señora de la Salud Chapel to your tour around the village, and admire its simple yet lovely white façade.
As you wander through the streets, you’ll still find traditional homes once tied to the area’s local agricultural past; they stand carefully preserved within modern-day Xirivella. Their façades and structures are quintessentially Mediterranean.
