In our route Aromas of the countryside of Elche we want you to know the secrets of a centenary gastronomy, kept from generation to generation, where we highlight the gastronomy of the countryside of Elche or Camp d'Elx.

We propose you to start with a visit to an olive oil mill, El Tendre, a real treasure of the Baix Vinalopó region and a symbol and reference of the rich olive oil tradition of the region, as it is the oldest in the whole region, let yourself be seduced by the aroma and taste of the oldest extra virgin olive oil in the area, while you discover the secrets of its centenary elaboration.

But the experience does not end here. After tasting its oil, we discover another surprise: could you imagine that Elche produced wine? In Bodegas Faelo, we discover the history of wine in the region and you will learn how this precious elixir is made in a traditional way, how it was produced centuries ago and how Bodegas Faelo continues to do it now in almost the same way. At the end of the visit, enjoy their wines while tasting local products from the countryside of Elche, in a restaurant located between orchards and fields.

After recharging your batteries, we will head to the Pusol Museum, a true cultural treasure in the middle of the countryside, recognized by UNESCO for its invaluable contribution to the preservation of the local ethnographic tradition. The great recognition to the work and years dedicated to this project of community, open and participatory character comes in 2009, when UNESCO inscribes the Center for Traditional Culture School Museum of Puçol in the Register of Good Practices for the Safeguarding of Intangible Cultural Heritage, becoming since then the Third World Heritage Site of Elche. Immerse yourself in the history and culture of Elche as you explore exhibits and workshops that reveal the secrets of rural and urban life in the region.
