Go on a scenic walk from the pretty village of Murla to a small chapel perched atop a hill.

Ermita de San Sebastián, San Sebastián Chapel, sits atop Caballo Verde overlooking the village of Murla in Alicante. The elegant, white-washed building is believed to date back to the late 16th century and is a key element of Murla’s rural landscape.

The simple temple has an arched ceiling inside and a bell gable where a bell once hung. In January, Murla celebrates its annual pilgrimage which culminates at the chapel and includes communal feasts shared by locals..

The walk to San Sebastián Chapel from Murla is an easy and scenic route of just under two kilometres. If you prefer, you can also drive there. Set off for Vall de Pop and explore its charming villages.
