Come and explore an essential piece of Murla’s ethnographic heritage.

Llavador Vell del Poble, the old public washhouse, is a well-preserved important piece of the village Murla’s cultural heritage in the province of Alicante. Located next to the church, it consists of a large stone basin accessed by a short flight of steps.

The structure remains fully functional and follows the traditional design of historic washhouses, with slanted stone slabs on either side of a water channel serving as washing surfaces.

Together with the fountain and trough, the old public washhouse is a living reminder of what daily life was like in villages like Murla.
