The best way to visit Pego’s Walled Centre is to follow your feet as you wander along the historic streets of San Jaime, Capitán Cendra, Maestro Blasco, San Luis and Vallet, reaching the town square and other significant sites; you’ll get a real sense of the place. Reach the arched gateway - made with stone and ceramic bricks - on the west side to see how the old and the new come together in this quaint town.

The remains of the old town walls have been eclipsed by newer buildings in some places, but historic landmarks such as La Asunción de Nuestra Señora Parish Church preserve Pego’s original layout.
