La Mar Xica beach in Benicarló is a little piece of the Costa del Azahar that is waiting for you. It is a territory of about 1,000 metres long and 20 metres wide, located next to the marina of the town, in the northern part of Benicarló.
La Mar Xica beach is made of stone and gravel and stands out for its tranquility: it is not a busy beach compared to others in Benicarló so, if you are looking for a calm corner in front of the sea to read a book, sunbathe or swim, this is a very good option. But this does not mean that the beach is not perfectly equipped with services: you have showers, footbaths, lifeguards watching and cleaning service. In addition, during the summer season there are beach bars where you can have a drink or sit down to enjoy the best seafood cuisine.
It is an almost rustic beach since it has no nearby residences. To access it you have the possibility of going by car taking the N-340 and using the parking area. You can also go on foot from Benicarló.
If you like this beach, there are others in the area that you should also visit. Benicarló offers you the Fondalet beach, very close to La Mar Xica, which has a natural environment and is more distant from the urban center. Its urban beaches, however, are also incredible: the Caracola beach connects with Peñíscola and there you can practice various water sports, as well as enjoy the beach bars; Gurugú Beach is the longest and Morrongo Beach is very emblematic and is located next to the fishing port. Choose the one you prefer, the important thing is to enjoy them.
