Burriana is buzzing with excitement for the Fiestas de la Misericordia, Virgin of Mercy Festival, whose programme of events will give you plenty to see and do in this lovely part of the Mediterranean.

Expect plenty of bull events, street parties, performances and marching bands to liven up the streets during the festivities.

One of the highlights of the festival is the flower fight, in which decorated floats and kilos of confetti plunge the town into an extraordinary battle. This year, the colourful event takes place on 15 September, after the festival itself, which runs from 30 August to 8 September. There will also be a firework display on the last day to bid farewell to the celebration.
