Founded in the year 1946, to be found within its important collections are archaeological remains such as the Roman epigraphy collection, from which can be emphasised the Qvintia Proba tombstone, the San Jorge Altarpiece (15th century), the Reconquest Standard (13th century) and the Roque Ceverio Sepulchre (12th century) amongst other pieces.
