Come to l'Alcora to be part of a beautiful tradition that takes place on Easter Monday.

The Festa del Rotllo, Rollo Festival in l'Alcora, is a charming celebration that you have to know. Also known as the Day of the Rollo, l'Alcora prepares, every Easter Monday, a traditional pilgrimage in which the protagonists are the children. This Pilgrimage of Infants has its origins in the 18th century. The story tells that, to stop a severe drought that threatened the crops, a children's procession was organized to the San Cristóbal Hermitage in l'Alcora, or Ermita del Calvario.

The rain appeared soon after and bread rolls were made with anise seeds to celebrate. Today these rolls are given to all participants, culminating in a traditional lunch with Easter mona (cake) included. There is much to see in l'Alcora, do not miss this festival!
