Looking for a quality and accessible beach in Moncofa? Masbó, a Blue Flag beach, is for you.

The Moncofa coastline is great place to spend long summer’s days relaxing and lapping up the sunshine on the beautiful shores of the Mediterranean. On this stretch is Masbo beach, a great choice for a day at the coast.

The oasis-like beach is full of tamarind and palm trees. It is named after a freshwater lake that used to be located just inland from the beach, but whose waters today flow along the Masbo canal. In the past, part of the beach was occupied by Moncofa campsite, which was a popular spot among international travellers in the 1970s.

Masbo has a Blue Flag, standing testament to the quality and maintenance of the beach. The dense waters are rich in iodine here, making every dip a skin care ritual. The urban beach has a seafront promenade running close to the sand and is accessible for people with disabilities.

In 2014, Masbo was awarded the Q for Tourist Quality. 800m long and 20m wide, the beach has moderate waves. To get to Masbo, you can either drive or take public transport (bus). There’s a carpark with space for over 100 cars and all the services you could possibly need for a day at the beach: toilets, showers, a children’s playground and sports area. Burriana marina is just 9km away. So bring someone special along with you to spend a lovely day at Masbo beach together.
