Fiestas en Oropesa del Mar, Oropesa del Mar’s festivals, are a big deal, combining both traditional and religious celebrations with tributes to the sea and tourists. These are events you won’t want to miss so read on to discover more and start planning your getaway.
January comes with the first festival of the year, San Antonio, which is followed by an event focusing on local trades and artisanal products in May.
June is a busy month for the destination sitting on the Castellón coastline as there are not one but two festivals, celebrating San Juan and San Pedro on the 24 and 28 respectively. Get ready for plenty of light, fireworks and delicious local cuisine.
Then in July it’s La Virgen del Carmen Festival, which is one of the biggest festivities in Oropesa del Mar thanks to the maritime procession that sees a large number of boats take to the sea waters. This is followed by San Jaime on the 25 July with its street parties that fill the town with music and plenty of cheer. Then, in August, there is a great firework display at the beach in honour of the sea and tourists.
Last but by no means least is Oropesa del Mar’s Patron Saint Festival in honour of La Virgen de la Paciencia and ancient traditions, which is held every October. Discover everything you can get up to in Oropesa del Mar and make sure you don’t miss its great festivals. They'll win your heart forever.
