Bicorp’s Fiestas de Agosto, August Festival, which is held in honour of patron saints San Roque, Santa Cecilia and La Virgen de la Asunción, is a great time to visit this lovely municipality that has plenty of things to get up to.

The festivities take place in the second half of August and include a wide range of events. Keep reading to discover more and start planning your experience.

The festival kicks off with La Víspera, an event in which the ringing of the bells and the sound of gunpowder marks the start of a parade that snakes its way through Bicorp’s streets with participants handing out sweets and gifts to the crowd.

Over the coming days, you can then expect a succession of parades set to the beat of band music and costume parties with prizes for originality.

Bicorp’s August Festival also has moments that are sure to get your emotions going like religious events as well as opportunities to play traditional sports like pelota valenciana.

Another highlight of the festivities is Moors and Christians, an event celebrated with a haze of retretas and entradas defined by spectacular clothing and incredible band music.
