The temple was built upon the remains of the former Arabic castle, in its construction there are artistic details from the Gothic period and the XIX century. In its interior there is a baptismal font which was formerly a public fountain worked in stone. The chapel of San Blas, in the “churrigueresco” style is presided over by the image of the saint. The main altar shows El Salvador painted by Jose Segrelles, the altarpieces are by Joan de Joanes and his daughters. In the sacristy there is a sketch of the “Last Supper” by Ribalta, whilst in a contiguous room, is “el estandarte de San Blas” painted by Joaquín Sorolla.
