El Ayuntamiento de Llíria, Llíria Town Hall, resides in a stunning Renaissance-style palace, built between the 16th and 17th century and possessing distinct Mannerist architectural features. This landmark is a true example of the local heritage and is a must-visit when sight-seeing in Llíria.
Llíria Town Hall once housed various important entities, including the Council Chamber, the Chamber of Juries, as well as the ‘Almudín’ - a typical warehouse for storing and selling wheat - and even the town prison. The ornate stonework of the building, the majestic doorway and the unusual top-floor design, composed of a neat line of small windows, are all features you’ll love discovering along the way. Typical of 16th-century design, the arched windows that run along every side of the building give it a pretty and pleasing appearance.
Make sure you include Llíria Town Hall - also known by the name "Ca la Vila" - on your list of places to visit when in town. And see if you can spot the town’s emblem on the two columns by the main entrance. Afterwards, you can feel like a true pilgrim and climb up to San Miguel Royal Monastery, then marvel at the incredible views. Fill your trip to Llíria with beauty, history and heritage!
