Discover the winged treasures of the Costa Blanca's wetlands in the Natural Parks of El Hondo, Santa Pola, La Mata and Marjal de Pego.
Few places in Spain rival the Costa Blanca when it comes to a passion for birdwatching. Its wetlands are home to a great diversity of unique species, many of them protected and endangered, difficult to find elsewhere in Europe.
For years, Oxytours experts have shown the uniqueness of these wetlands to visitors, which has led to their declaration as Protected Natural Spaces and their inclusion in international agreements, such as RAMSAR.
On our tour of the main wetlands in the region, you will be able to admire an impressive variety of birds in different seasons of the year. Among them, two species of ducks in serious danger of extinction in Europe stand out: the Marbled Teal (Marmaronetta angustirostris) and the White-headed Duck (Oxyura leucocephala).
