Stroll through Núcleo Histórico Tradicional de Monforte del Cid, the traditional historical centre of Monforte del Cid, situated in the province of Alicante, and step back in time! Monforte del Cid historic centre dates all the way back to the fourteenth century during the Islamic period. The original layout of the neighbourhoods can still be seen today, and one of the main streets gets its name from this ancient period: Calle de la Morería, meaning Moorish in English. The Christian quarter of the town was located by the main street, Calle Mayor.

Today, you can walk around and admire the old facades, some of which still have ceramic panels of religious figures.

In addition to visiting the traditional historic centre of Monforte del Cid, you can also visit Nuestra Señora de las Nieves Parish Church, or the Iberian-Roman Museum, there's no shortage of things to do here! And if you’re a fan of golf, you’re in for a treat as the area is a popular golf destination.
