Built on ancient foundations and mosques in the heart of Monforte del Cid, the church was renovated centuries later in the 18th century. Its bell tower and beautiful facade really set it apart, and the late Gothic tower is one of the oldest features of the building. In fact, part of the old castle is still preserved and forms part of the church’s current structure.
