La Casa Señorial de Orba, Orba’s Manor House, is a must-visit during your time in this part of La Marina Alta in the province of Alicante. The Manor House is home to a fascinating museum that you won’t want to miss.

The Manor House was built in the 16th century by the then Barons of Orba and then passed through the hands of a number of important families.

The Manor House had a number of different rooms, including a prison. The site also had its own oil mill, press and stables among other spaces.

The historic importance of the Manor House is increased by the inn that was housed here in the 18th-century. If the walls could talk, they would have some great stories to tell.

Inside the Manor House you can visit Ayuntamiento de Orba’s Pottery Museum, which is popularly known as Museu del Fang. The interesting exhibition will show you how all sorts of pitchers, jars and other pieces were expertly crafted by Orba’s artisans. All the pieces you can see on display were donated by the locals.
