Located in Torrevieja in the province of Alicante, Los Náufragos beach is the southernmost in the town. Its northern edge rubs shoulders with the salt belt while the rocky area of the San Roque district sits to the south. The beach is some 300m long and 40m wide, and boasts fine golden sand and calm waters, except when the wind blows.
The beach’s name, Los Náufragos, meaning ‘shipwrecks’ in English, is not a coincidence. As the beach isn’t protected by any kind of topographical elements, ships caught in storms historically washed up on this stretch of the coast.
The area is subjected to the highest quality standards. It boasts the Q for Quality, ISO 14000 (environment) and ISO 9000 (quality). All the services you could possibly want and more are available here, namely three lifeguard stations and lifeguards, Red Cross stations and public transport stops.
Los Náufragos beach also has sports facilities where you can play volleyball and beach football. Additionally, there’s a play park where your kids can have all sorts of fun on the slides. So what are you waiting for? Make your way to Torrevieja to discover its beautiful Mediterranean coastline, including Los Náufragos beach.
