The Patron Saint festivities are celebrated during the first week of September, in honor of the Virgin of the Rosary, Our Lady of the Forsaken, and the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Of special interest are, on one hand, the different religious events, masses and processions, where intense devotion towards the municipality’s patron saint is shown and, on the other hand, the leisure events, the open-air dances and the bullfighting festivals, such as the bull run and the cattle exhibition, the toro embolao (bull with flaming horns) or amateur bullfighting with young bulls.
