A trail through the Valencian huerta

Located in the province of Valencia, L’Horta Nord county is traversed by two railway lines starting in València city: the Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat Valenciana (FGV) line that ends in Rafelbunyol and the RENFE line that connects with Barcelona and Zaragoza.

In the past, however, there was a third line that used to make its way directly through the county in a straight line. A Vía Verde (‘Greenway’ in English) now follows a section of this line, making its way through the orange groves and the agricultural land of the huerta for some 16km. It is suitable for walkers, bikes, scooters and wheelchairs.
