Come and visit some history-steeped ruins sitting at the highest part of Agost. Welcome to the castle.

Castillo de Agost, Agost Castle, is a medieval structure of which only ruins remain. Strategically situated atop a hill, the highest part of the municipality, the castle has a small chapel located next to it. This place of worship used the castle walls for part of its construction.

During your time in this fascinating part of the province of Alicante, you will want to make your way up to visit Agost Castle. Though only few ruins remain, they will give you an insight into what the fortress looked like in times past.

Beyond visiting the castle, make the most of your time in Agost to walk or cycle El Maigmó Greenway whose tunnels and viaducts will lead you to the most spectacular landscapes.
