Casa de las Luces, Las Luces House in Titaguas, is a cultural centre connected to the Valencian Museum of Enlightenment and Modernity, also known as MuVIM. The centre was founded in 2022 to shine the spotlight on the area’s cultural and natural heritage. Backed by Ayuntamiento and Diputación de Valencia, the initiative enriches the local cultural life and promotes quality tourism in Los Serranos county.
Las Luces House, which is also known as "Casa del Tío Florencio", is something of a local symbol with its quadrangular sun clock which is one of the highlights of Plaza del Cuadrante. An impressive building dating from the 18th century, Las Luces House has been renovated and its doors opened to the public who can enjoy taking a look around the exhibition centre that is destined to be the focal point of all the culture and nature the village has to offer.
Las Luces House in Titaguas has a permanent exhibition that explores the life and work of Simón de Rojas Clemente (1777-1827), a renowned botanist born in the village that became a key name in the Valencian Enlightenment movement. Beyond the permanent exhibition, the centre houses temporary exhibitions that further enrich the destination's cultural offer.
Discover the history of Titaguas through the life of Simón de Rojas and delve into the heritage and culture of Los Serranos at Las Luces House. A place where the past and present fuse to enrich the lives of locals and visitors.
