Visit San Pablo Chapel and Hospice and its scenic surroundings in Albocàsser.

Just 3.5 kilometres from Albocàsser stands Ermita Hospedería de San Pablo, San Pablo Chapel and Hospice. Declared a Site of Cultural Interest and Historical-Artistic Monument in 1983, this landmark is symbolic of the Jacobean pilgrimage route in the province of Castellón. Legend has it that in 1560, San Pablo appeared to a group of shepherds and performed the miracle of purifying water, leading to the construction of the chapel in the 16th century. When you visit, you’ll be struck by its facade, crowned with a bell gable housing three bells. Surrounding the chapel, you'll find the old hospice, porticoes, and a magnificent ivy plant that’s over 200 years old, all set in a picturesque square with a central well.
